Chinese Dragons 龍 2
APPEARANCE
All Chinese dragons have one hundred and seventeen scales in total.
Eighty-one of these scales are "yang“. The other thirty-six scales are said to be of "yin” to keep the dragon in balance.
Most Chinese dragons do not have wings, as it is believed that their ability to fly are mystical and not as a result of their physical attributes.
In Chinese art, dragons are typically portrayed as long, scaled, serpentine creatures with four legs.
The Chinese dragon has three equal lengths between neck to base of arms, base of arms to hips, and hips to tail.
They are said to have nine anatomical resemblances to the following animals.
They also have long beard around his mouth and a big lump on his head.
